Though not a regular member of the Superchiefs, Loren is a lifetime card carrying member of the band--whether he wants to be or not. Anytime he is within 300 miles he will be called upon for guitar playing, singing, and fellowship. Before joining The Superchiefs (and subsequently moving to Hawaii), Loren could be found most frequently walking the doghouse bass in Milwaukee's entertainment Mecca and Medina (Quarters and Conways) providing the yin to Greg's yang. Some of Loren's favorite guitar players are: Django Reinhardt, Oscar Aleman, Charlie Christian, Eddie Lang, Carl Kress, Freddie Green, Eldon Shamblin, Junior Barnard, Big Bill Broonzy, Greg Cramer, and Whit Smith.
